Research on Buddhist Manuscripts

The main activity of the Department of Buddhist Codicology includes deciphering, analysis, and edition of Sanskrit and Tibetan Buddhist manuscripts. Currently under investigation are:
- Sanskrit originals
- Tattvasiddhi (author unknown, 8-9c.)
- Pañcakramapañjikā (by Samayavajra, 11c.)
- Pañcakramatātparyapañjikā (by Abhayākaragupta, 11-12c.)
- Āmnāyamañjarī (by Abhayākaragupta, 11-12c.)
- Tibetan translations
- Adhyardhaśatikā Prajñāpāramitā (manuscripts preserved at Tabo monastery in NW India, Dunhuang manuscripts, etc.)
In working with these materials, we also focus on the application of the TEI Guidelines compliant text-markup (SARIT Workshop2017 abstract).
